This 75-hectare (185 acres) avocado farm consists of two orchards: Orchard #1, La Albania Hass, has approximately 7,000 trees aged between 4 and 7 years. It currently produces over 200 tons annually, with projections to reach at least 350 tons per year as the trees mature. Orchard #2, La Matilde Hass, is in the process of being planted. So far, 7,000 trees have been planted between October 2020, April 2021, and October 2021. Additionally, there are around 500 Hass variety trees that were already on the land. The planting density in Orchard #2 has been adjusted to increase the total number of trees, with a final expected count of at least 10,000 trees. La Albania Hass has a strong export performance, with over 85% of its harvested fruit meeting export standards. The fruit is processed in a newly built packing facility of approximately 175m². The farm also includes two houses: a main house of over 500m², providing spacious and comfortable accommodation for administrative and operational staff, and a second house currently used as housing for workers. Similarly, Orchard #2, La Matilde Hass, has two houses. The main house is approximately 200m² and spans two levels. The first level is used for storage of supplies and equipment and includes a room, kitchen, and bathrooms. The second level serves as housing for the farm manager. Additionally, there is another house at the upper part of the farm, occupied by one of the workers. Both farms benefit from excellent water resources. At the top of each property, a natural spring feeds a stream (quebrada) with significant water capacity. This allows all water storage and distribution management on the farms to be done by gravity without issues. Orchard #1 already has a water concession, and Orchard #2 is in the process of securing one, ensuring that all water needs are met. Orchard #1 has well-maintained internal roads and paths to facilitate communication and harvesting operations. In Orchard #2, internal transport logistics are supported by roads built with heavy machinery, with some sections improved using compacted materials and even rails or rolling plates for equipment distribution. Access to Orchard #2, La Matilde, is via a public easement (Camino Real). There is also the possibility of installing a cable guide system to improve efficiency in production cycles and accelerate transport processes. The farm currently holds a group Global GAP certification with Westfalia Fruit and is in the process of obtaining individual certification. It is also registered with the ICA (Colombian Agricultural Institute) as an exporting property.
